The original Dim Light · Downtown Paducah
01 / The original
Dating to 1865, Third Street is where The Dim Light began in Paducah. We transformed the building’s entire second floor into a two-bedroom stay that pairs tall windows, exposed brick, original character, and a decidedly less-than-quiet design point of view.
The open living, dining, and kitchen spaces were made for settling in together. A king bedroom and a second bedroom with two queen beds give six guests room to spread out, while Philips Hue lighting and Sonos sound let the atmosphere change right along with the evening.
Then there is the rooftop: a private deck with dining space, lounge seating, and a 16-foot outdoor movie screen. Downtown is right outside, but the best seat in the neighborhood may be upstairs.

02 / On the roof
Take movie night outside. The private rooftop pairs a 16-foot screen with lounge seating, bistro lights, and just enough distance from the street below to make the whole thing feel like your own little downtown cinema.
Set the mood
Philips Hue lighting shifts the rooms from bright and relaxed to fully after-dark, while Sonos carries the soundtrack throughout the space. An in-home iPad puts the lighting, sound, and entertainment controls in one place. Around here, the lighting is part of the furniture.

The place that started it all
Third Street established the Dim Light formula: preserve the history, turn up the personality, and make the experience as memorable as the city outside. The rooftop theater, smart lighting, whole-home sound, and movie-night popcorn are not extras added for a checklist. They are the reason this place feels different.
